He is overrated today, but back in his prime he was a pretty good player. A good player should not be judged by how many goals they score anyway, some players score more because they're strikers, or because they're scoring players, some play better at controlling the midfield, setting players up to score, rather than scoring themselves, and some are just better at defense and are tough to get by. But yes for 300 million, you could get much better players than him.

l could not agree more. How many times has he made a telling contribution with anything other than his right foot. As good as he is with the right foot, it does not make him the player he is made out to be. He is no longer seen as a footballer, he is now a brand name who will rake in millions in merchandise for whichever club offers him most money.

Paige; Becks is a FOOTBALL player-there is no such word as soccer (or even soccor), it is a made up word so that Americans do not get mixed up with that stupid game they play with pads & helmets. l agree Becks is a touch one -dimensionsal, but he is still one of the best passers of a ball in the game, & he has won just about every domestic honour in the English game plus a CL medal. Apart from Ronaldo, the other players u list have pretty empty trophy cabinets (besides the laughable idea of Ronaldo et al going to LA Galaxy to play amateur football)
