Well he signed a 5 year contract which is not up yet, so just leaving would be breach of contract. So l am pretty sure to avoid legal dispute he has to go back to LA Galaxy to finish up his contract unless they sell him to AC Milan. He is only on a 2 month loan but l guess we will see what happens.

Edit: Well if he proves himself to Milan then Milan may buy out his contract, Milan is a big team so they probably have the money.

l dunt really like him at MLS..but thats just my opinion!!

l think he will return to the MLS as he only went to Milan to make sure he stays fit enough to play in the England team for our world cup qualifiers. l still think he has a lot to offer a big european club and playing in the MLS is not a good idea if he still wants to beat Sir Bobby Moore is record number of caps for England, as the competition in MLS is poor. l will probably get loads of TD is for saying that but it is a fact.

l would not be surprised if the does not come back. The problem is that the MLS seems to have a decent system in place, but just does not have the capitol to be able to make it work so far. LA is paying a huge amount for Beckham as well as Donovan at this time. Donovan really would like to find a way out to really put the effort into playing in Germany & that could become a factor within the next year anyway.
It would be interesting to see how much it would cost as the MLS seems to have been able to use Beckham to pull in a lot of fans who otherwise would not watch or buy merchandise, but with their financial situation it should be possible if he decides that he really wants to stay at Milan & they want to buy him. His $6,500,000 2008 guaranteed compensation is well above what the total roster salary for other clubs outside of LA & about 50 times the average MLS salary.

Yes, he can not be allowed to leave. He gets 5 Mil USD per year to play; the rest of whatever bloated figure people assume he gets is from potential endorsements & non-playing things. There is too much freedom in football nowadays. Players r the properties of the team until they get traded, terminated/cut/released, or their contract expires (this is how it is in most other professional sports). If the Glazers can hang onto that slave Cristiano Ronaldo, there is no reason why AEG will let Beckham go to another team just because he wants caps in upcoming international games.

Its a shame because you can see that Beckham misses top flight football, however he went to the states to try make football a bigger sport, which apparently it is taking off. l really hope he stay with Milan as the guy deserves to play for England when he at his best, l also miss watching him in the EPL.
However l think Beckham will honour his contract and stay with the Galaxy.
