cristiano ronaldo is overrated in my opinion. l think the best player currently is sergio aguero. he is an ace player and you should really watch him play for atletico madrid.

For my money, it has to be Ronaldo. And as a United supported, l can not complain about having him in our squad.

Messi is a genius, however, and l would rate him second. Deco is slightly overrated, as he has not been that convincing in the Chelsea side this season.

Messi hands down.

The best one is without doubt Lionel Messi, & u know that as well! He has 22 appearances, 20 goals & 10 assists so far in the La Liga 08/09 season! Thanks to him & the others, Barcelona is by far the favorites to win the La Liga, since they lead by 12 points against their main rival, which is at the second place at the moment, none other than Real Madrid! Messi was also voted as the second best player in all individuals awards, losing to Ronaldo in each of them, but that was because Barcelona did not win anything at that season (the 07/08)! However, as u all know, Messi is the new Maradona, however, he will not just become the new one, he will succeed him as well.!!! l have nothing more to say, however, since l am a Chelsea fan, l wish for some of the players at the Chelsea squad to one day win all individual awards such as Ronaldo did at the 07/08 season, whether it be Frank Lampard, John Terry or anyone else at the Chelsea squad!!!

Best CURRENT soccer player in my opinion is Lionel Messi.

Cristiano Ronaldo was unstoppable last season. However despite playing well, he is not the same dominant player this year.

Messi is the best. when all is said and done he will be a legend of the game. he plays with heart, which is a lot more that l can say for many players with his potential these days.
