Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta finds rumours linking him with an exit ''a little tiring'' and says he is ''proud and happy'' at Goodison Park.The Spanish schemer has been linked with a move to both Arsenal and Manchester City already in the transfer window but insists he is not looking to leave the Toffees - and wants to help them back into Europe.

He told Nuts: ''It is a little tiring. I've always said I am very proud to represent this club and am happy here.

''We should be aiming for a top-six finish because l feel we're playing the best quality football for many seasons.''

Having not played for Spain at senior level yet, the 26-year-old becomes eligible for England duty next year.

But he added: ''My ambition is to play for Spain. Sorry - playing for England is not in my future!''

So forget it Arsenal and Man City he is staying where he is

Good news for Everton he is a decent player he is one of two players l would welcome at anfield

l agree about him staying at Everton, but he should play for England!

It would be interesting to see how he does, and will create more competition for the others! Because, let is face it.i do not think he will play for Spain.

l agree he is a great player, but also said he was verry happy at Rangers and left shortly afterwards. l have a feeling when one of the big 4 offer the money required he will be off and it wont be long. But yes he is a class act. Hope he stays!

'The best little spaniard we know' is staying at Everton. He is looking the happiest and most composed as he has looked in some time.

l am not big on players changing nationalities to represent other countries, good on him for staying loyal! (as he has done for his Everton!!)

Why would he go to Arsenal, they are only 3 pts above Everton & they arent exactly setting the world on fire at present. Besides, l cant see Everton selling him right now, with the predicament of our squad at present.

We all know how the football world works and l am very greatful to Magic Mikel for his loyalty to Everton football club, and Davey Moyes for bringing loyal players in to the club and not compromising on that.

It makes me proud to be a Blue.
