l mean why try get so big?

There is more City fans than Villa fans, if they ever get back to the Premier league they will easily bring in around 40,000+. Their present ground only holds around 30,000.

Birmingham can not even fill St Andrews jst now

having 50,000 fans is one thing


giving them good football to watch is another

and they cannot do either at the minute..!

haha they cant evan fill them at this time so whats the point of doing it they will just loose more money

Birmingham is ground is badly out of date & in need of repair (hence the song sung by lots of away fans ''st. andrews is falling down''). At the moment the attendances r too low to justify the move, but l suppose they think they will get back in the premier league & they will want to make as much money as they can charging away fans (Man U, Liverpool, Villa these games will sell out every time)

Villa Park is currently 42,640 capicity, & planning permission has been granted to fill in the corners either side of the North Stand (1.) will increase capacity to 50,000 anyway. With other plans afoot involving the other corners Villa park may grow even bigger. The stadium is easily the best in Birmingham which is reflected in its history as England & F.A. Cup Semi Final venues.
