You know, the 2 investors who ploughed MILLIONS into Man Utd is League title and Cup campaigns in the late 80 is early 90 is and finally left the club about 5 years ago?Nobody think that sounds familiar to what is happening now at City, obviously with more money available to invest.

Deano, They were there from 1982 to 2004 l believe, definitely before Fergie arrived in 1986 at the very least.They financed a club with their own millions (like our Sheikh) into a club that had won nothing for about 20+ years.The two sitautions are so strikingly similar it is unbelievable as my United collegues can admit to.

l remember them.. l dont think it was 80s & they was not there very long .. & they took a lot more money out of the club than they put in..they saw a fast buck & ran with the money when they thought united had peaked. can u name the horse that they fell out with fergie about ??

they speculated & accumilated.we did well from them .i dont know how u can liken it to city cos l doubt the shiek is gonna make money out of city. think about it bud .

i think note l said think ur wrong bud the club was owned by the edwards family for many a long year & whilst fergie was there they almost sold the club for what l think was 12 million to a bloke l cant remember his name but he bought carlilse in the end ..then they floated the club on the stock market & held the majority share..thats when fergie talked macmanus & magnier into buying shares..they never held control of the club either..ps the horse was the rock of gibratar

and as l said it was a buisness venture for them they put money in & took a lot more back out .. can u see that happening with the shiek ?? l think not. u dont need to try & point fingers at united for whats happening at city .. l honestly look forward to our up & coming encounters.. u cant buy everyone & u have to have the right set up .. u will i'm sure get the house in order but its gonna take time ..saying that it didnt take chelsea long.. but saying that again moureen had a great team when he took over ..
