Nery has never REALLY lived in Mexico, AND Mexican blood does not run through his veins..

Here is my opinion, l love having Nery, and to me he IS Mexican.. But l think there are some Naturalizados that love Mexico more than him and deserve atleast a shot at playing a game and try to prove that la verde no les pesa..

i do not mind SOME naturalizados, but an excess of anything is BAD! so limit them...

yeah l agree and applaud him for choosing Mexico, but then again, was not that the smarter move to make (financially and as a professional?) its the more popular team out of the 3..

wow u took it to the xtreme there! Nery had the chance to choose from Mexico, Uruguay, or Greece & he chose Mexico. All three teams asked Nery to be in their team, & he practically said no to Uruguay & Greece & he has his reasons.

Now with these naturalizados, in all honesty do u really think if Vuoso or Franco got called to the Argentinian team first than the mexican team they would reject Argentina & continue to go with the Mexican national team? of course not.they decided to nationalize themselves because they r not that good to be called up to their national team, so they hoped that Mexico would call them practically for individual fame.thats why there is so much contreversy with Naturalizados, thats why we should have 100% puros MEXICANOS in el Tri..

The thing that kicks me in the azz the most, is that there is better mexican players than whoever has been called up as a naturalizado & we all know that.none, NONE of the naturalizados called up have made a differnce in the seleccion & to me, thats not good enough as harsh as that sounds.

Do u remember greece,uruguay,and mexico fought for him & he chose to play for mexico.he moved to uruguay when he was a lil kid & he loves mexico if not he could of played for greece or uruguay

l do not have nothing agaisnt naturalizados but lets be real mexico is sending a message to the young players that they will choose naturalizados over mexicanos born in mexico

All ''naturalizados'' also become Mexican citizens for financial gains. Do not kid yourself.

l am against any naturalized citizens in the national team..and yes l am from Guadalajara. Besides taking the space of a Mexican, they suck ass and do not contribute anything to the team.

im not against naturalizados l just want to qualify for the world cup. If Sven Goran Eriksson choses to have naturalizados then he has my support.(unless he calls el chango moreno)

and l agree Nery is not Mexican he chose Mexico over Greece.Uruguay did not want him (he got cut from their training camp.)

First of all l have nothing against Naturalizados even if they have can not contribute as much as we would like them to. l do have something against some of those who have been called to the National Team, & l will give u an example:

Guillermo Franco - Said he would nationalize himself African if it meant he could go to a World Cup. This player should have never been called to the National team

Sinha - Has sweat the green shirt to the max & has defended the colors with pride. This is the type of player l do not mind in the National team as a naturalizado.

See the difference? l will make u one better, have u ever heard the Pumas coach give his opinion about the directives, the National team coach, & the projects the FMF has for the near future? Tuca Ferreti is Brazilian, he has never coached the National team eventhough he was a candidate 4 times. When Hugo was fired some heads turned his way & he said he did not want it, because he did not want El Tri to be dumped on him, he said that the national team needed to be treated with respect & that a project should be respected. Also he speaks for the Mexican players more than any coach in the FMF, that is the type of Naturalizado l want in El Tri.

Nery Castillo was not begged to come & play for Mexico. He did not like the politics La Volpe was running. If u remember during that time, Hugo & La Volpe kept bumping heads left & right. La Volpe would not call Blanco due to a personal grudge between the two, & other things Nery took into considiration. As soon as Hugo called him he came, yes he was not able to show up right away but it was due to family problems like Hugo & Nery both made it public latter. So he does love Mexico, but it is everything surrounding that which made seem like he wanted to be begged.

SS - look bro, u have a nice argument but that argument does not go with this question. Also rutas means routes, if u mean roots that is raises in spanish. SS does bring up some interesting points but u have to remember that the subject we r discussing is the Extranjero soccer players not our pesonal lives.No matter who we r or were we r from we still have a say in what we Cherish..This time the Mexican Seleccion.

l am not crazy about naturalizados either, however Sven Goran Eriksson was hired to get Mexico qualified for World Cup, if that is what it takes so be it. Everyone keeps saying that Mexican players deserve it more.they have to prove it on the pitch. In the end the choices Eriksson makes is based on matchups & skill sets of individual players & not on nationality. Obviously what he has been doing lately is not working..so he is pulling out all the stops. Imagine how he feels knowing how the press & fans r going to rake him over the coals for his selection. l believe he is trying new things.and new is what Mexico needs. To many players think they deserve a call up & do not show up.perhaps this move to play naturalizados will inspire more Mexican nationals to step up their game.

l think people shouldnt be against nery but even though he didnt live in mex he was still born in mex. naturalizados in my opinion dont even love mex they just want to play in a seleccion because where they r from they dont have a chance to play for their seleccion so they choose to become mexican plus the naturalizados should be better then mexicans & there nor better or worse they r at the same level so why bother calling a naturalizado if he aint better they r just taking the spot of other REAL MEXICANS who should be playing

l have to admit SS has a good point but the real problem here is the naturalizados
i say erickson is doing this so the mexican-born players get their heads out of their azzes & start playing better
there r many players who r not trying their best to get in la seleccion
for example: (kikin, esqueda, fernandez, landin, bofo, cacho )
these players have talent & can become great players if they start to train harder.
then we would not have to argue about getting naturalizados in la seleccion
